Is finding a lifeguard job hard?

I would assume that finding a job as lifeguard would be extremely hard. So many kids want to do this because its easy and pays well.
So are there a lot of people that apply to be lifeguards but dont get accepted or is it pretty easy as long as you pass the course?

Easy? Omg, you have not been through the training. The full lifeguard training includes three full courses (about 12 sessions each course) and one Standard First Aid course (which takes two full days to complete). Most also require another 12 session pre-instructor course with 8 volunteer hours and a final instructor course with 12 volunteer hours.

So, it definitely eliminates a lot of people who are eligible to apply. There are still lots of people applying, but defintiely not as much as other jobs (i.e. fast food restaurants). Give it a try, most likely they do hire if you qualify.
