I know this was almost 20 years ago but does it really take a genius to realize that you need a screen covering the drain to prevent incidents like this?

  11. They are still not …
They are still not effective, drowning is considered when a person has water blocking their trachea, which if you’re surrpunded by water and your trachea s already full, it won’t empty out underwater, it is impossible. Therefore underwater rescue breathes won’t help unless the reciever is out of the water when the rescuer removes his mouth. And if she were to just hold her mouth to his mouth even until they got to the surface, eventually she would just be giving Co2, which i even more dangerous

I’m a lifeguard, and I take it seriously.

first mistake: his rescue tube was under his feet, that alone should’ve gotten him fired.

second mistake: he jumped in for goggles, not alerting other guards

third mistake: stuck his hand in a drain

fourth mistake: the other guards should’ve immediately serveyed the bottom of the pool, and girl lg shouldv’e gone in as soon as she saw him.

    fifth mistake: underwater rescue breathes?

If this boy lived, it was a miracle.
