oh, thank you laurelsson very much, and i am so sorry to hear that your mum passed. she was a honey and i too tried to look like her, lol. i wonder why i dont remember hearing about her death? because i came on here by way of looking up australian rock and rollers from the early 60s. again i am so sorry, she was a great talent, and i am glad she didn”t suffer.

Hi shez, Mum died …
Hi shez, Mum died of Leukaemia in 1992 (2 weeks before my wedding). She actually sang at an Australia Day gig on Jan 26th a few weeks before. It was sudden and she did not suffer for too long as other poor souls do. She had obviously been ill for some time but was only diagnosed a week before her death.

1969jmd – by “her hits” you mean one, strictly she only had one 45rpm that reached the charts here in Oz and that was “Treasure Of Your Love” from 1965 on the CBS label, peaked at #16 on the Sydney 2UE Top 40. She released 9 other 45’s between 1958 and 1973, every one of them on different labels. Coronet, HMV, Festival, Pye, Leedon, Hi Fi, Rex (As Margaret Hooper) etc… and to answer your question No. None of her songs have been released on CD, but I have a few at home if you want me to email.
