Mitch and Garner go under cover as street basketball players to solve a player’s mysterious death from a drug overdose, whom Garner once knew from the beaches of Venice, as well as the local hustler Ozzie who may know a clue to the player’s death. Meanwhile, Dennis is an unhappily married man on his honeymoon with his overbearing, klutzy, nagging wife… until his happiness returns when he meets and develops a crush on C.J. whom he asks out to lunch behind his wife’s back.

MEGAN: (Span around and saw Colby) What do you want
COLBY: To talk to you
MEGAN: I think I heard enough tonight. Don’t you think?
COLBY: No. I wanna say sorry
MEGAN: Sorry? You think sorry would cut it?
COLBY: Well. no, but I have to say it because ever since I got back in New York, I’ve been a jerk!
MEGAN: Wait what are you talking about
COLBY: I- don’t know (He sat down on the couch and put his head in his hands) It’s like ever since I got back her I- changed
MEGAN: Why
COLBY: Because..Because-
MEGAN: Because why
COLBY: Because of you
MEGAN: ME!?! Why are you blaming this on me!
COLBY: (Megan came and sat next to him on the couch but he got up once she did) Because ever since I laid eyes on you when I came back, I don’t know I felt different. Then I heard you weren’t dating Joe so my hopes all of a sudden got higher and I started caring about what I wore and did around you
MEGAN: Colby I’m flattered it’s just why
COLBY: I don’t know why I feel this way but I thought I could make you jealous but that didn’t work so I freaked because..
MEGAN: Because…
COLBY: (Now his words were uncontrollable and he regretted what he said next) BECAUSE I LOVE YOU
MEGAN: (Her jaw dropped) You- (She gulped) You love me? But we just started you know- going out again
COLBY: I’ve loved you longer then that
MEGAN: How- long?
COLBY: Since 4th grade
MEGAN: WHAT! Why didn’t you tell me earlier?
COLBY: Because you don’t love me back
MEGAN: How would you know that?
COLBY: Oh please! DON’T GIVE ME THAT! YOU MAY NOT SEE IT BUT JOE LOVES YOU AND IT’S PRETTY OBVIOUS.
MEGAN: No he doesn’t
COLBY: YES HE IS! And you may think you “hate” him but your just blinded by love. You don’t even know you do
MEGAN: (Now she was unsure of her words) That’s- that’s not true!
COLBY Yeah it is
MEGAN: (She sat down and thought for a moment) It can’t be true
COLBY: Megan, It’s fine. I’ll get over it
MEGAN: (Megan got up and headed outside because she think she saw Joe out that way before. Right when she got to the door she turned around.) And Colby, I do love you, but as a brother and a best friend

(Then she smiled and head outside. It was very cold out but she thought she would only be outside for about five minutes to give Joe his watch and leave. When she came upon the beach she saw a male figure sitting in one of the lifeguard chairs that have been left out. Megan headed over to it and then thought that he’s probably inside so she turned around when she heard a familiar voice)

???: Megan?
MEGAN: (She turned around and it was Joe) Oh- hey Joe. I was just, just looking for you

(Joe then tried to jump down from the lifeguard chair smoothly but instead he took a tumble at the end and got a face full of sand. literally. Megan ran over to him and giggled a bit and he just gave her a glare)

MEGAN: What it’s funny!
JOE: Thanks. Anything else?
MEGAN: Yeah. I- (Took a deep sigh) I have your watch and didn’t want to forget about it (Gave him the watch) Well.. I guess I should head back it

(She started away slowly and then Joe quickly grabbed her by her arm. Megan turned around and Joe had a blank look on his face)

JOE: WAIT!… Don’t go
MEGAN: I- I don’t know
JOE: (Then he took of his coat and wrapped it around her. She tried to say no but he didn’t listen) Come on, I have to talk to you
MEGAN: Ok

(Joe took Megan’s hand but she shyly pulled away and Joe took that and kept walking)

JOE: So I, Kind of, want to apologize
MEGAN: OK
JOE: For everything
MEGAN: Everything?
JOE: YEAH! Tonight, last week.. (Joe hesitated on his next words) Colby’s party
MEGAN: (She stopped in her tracks) YOU KNOW!
JOE: Ummm- yeah Lauren told me
MEGAN: (They both stopped and Megan didn’t notice herself start pacing) This night seriously can not make any more turns
JOE: Huh?
MEGAN: Nevermind
JOE: So- I’m sorry for everything I said to you
MEGAN: Can we not talk about that night? I tried to erase it from my brain!
JOE: Well that I actually know about it now I can’t forget about it!
MEGAN: Well start forgetting
JOE: I- I can’t
MEGAN: WHY NOT!
JOE: Because thinking back now I meant what I said!

(Megan looked back at him and saw now that he was pacing and he looked nervous.)

MEGAN: What?
JOE: I can’t stop thinking about you! I go through each day painfully knowing that your not there! If I hear your name my spirits come up! I laugh hard when I’m around you. I NEED to be noticed and I wanna be texting you throughout the day! I want to sing to you and I want to YOU to laugh at my corny jokes and help me up when I fall! I’ve been going crazy!
MEGAN: Joe.. You broke up with me
JOE: AND THAT WAS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE BECAUSE FROM THAT I ACTUALLY..
MEGAN: What

(Joe stopped pacing and came very close to Megan. So close she could feel his breath on her neck as he took heavy breaths that sent goosebumps down her.)

JOE: I’m in love with you
